~ C1900s Single Draw Telescope from S/S Martazan Ship Wreck ~
A nice quality single draw telescope marked “S/S MARTAZAN 93695”. The barrel is also inscribed with a quality mark.
The piece is made of Brass and bakelite and it comes with a black leather cover and eight screws to the eyepiece.
Martazan SS was a British cargo steamer of 3,477grt that sank after a collision on the 5th January 1917 with the Italian steamer Monte Bianco off Cape Verde when on route from Sierra Leonne for Liverpool. Read more at wrecksite: https://www.wrecksite.eu/wreck.aspx?31872

The brass shows some signs of oxidation and the leather cover show some signs of wear.
The draw slides out smoothly and the lenses are mostly clean and free of damage.
