~ Circa 1800 Blue And Gilt Sabre With Its Scabbard ~
Each side of the three quarter length single fuller-ed blade has five gilt designs, including a stand of arms. The black wooden grip is bound with copper wire. The stirrup guard has a lions head as the pommel.
The steel scabbard has two brass suspension rings.
~ Condition ~
The blade is free from nicks and is clean. The bluing has had some restoration. The grip and guard are firm. The wire binding is tight, the grip is in good order. The scabbard has several dents and dings to one side, it is free from splits.
~ Dimensions ~
The sword is 97 cm (38 inches) in length with a 85 cm (33.5 inches) blade.
