~ Circa 1810 Coalport Gilded Sandwich Plate ~
A highly gilded Coalport sandwich plate dating to circa 1810.
The plate is of square form with inset corners.
It has a gilt pattern border to the rim which is mirrored to the centre in a circular fashion.
Between these borders are bands of brightly coloured hand painted flowers and more gilt patterns.
The plate is plain to the reverse.
~ Dimensions ~
The plate measures 8 ½ inches (21.5cm) square and weighs 500g.
~ Condition ~
The plate has a couple of hairline cracks, a little crazing to the glaze and some wear to the gilding but overall is in fair condition for its age.
