~ Large Original Watercolour & Gouache By Scarborough-Born Artist Don Micklethwaite Depicting The Loch-Class Frigate H.M.S. Loch Lomond ~
Ordered from Caledon SB at Dundee on 2nd February 1943 and laid down on 7th December 1943. The ship was launched on 19th June 1944 and was the 1st Royal Navy ship to bear the name. Build was completed on 16th November 1944. This ship was adopted by the civil community of Burnham on Sea, Somerset after commissioning.
(A noted maritime artist, Don Micklethwaite has exhibited at the Royal Society of British Artists, Royal West of England Academy, Royal Society of Marine Artists, Guild of Railway Artists, and has works in private and corporate collections too numerous to mentions.

The frame is in excellent condition, the watercolour is in excellent condition with no signs of foxing.
