Description

This is an original Lee-Metford Bayonet Pattern 1888 Mk2 bayonet. The blade features many marks including the ‘sold out of military service’ mark, bending mark, Queen Victoria royal cipher and maker’s marks. The manufacturers name “Sanderson, Sheffield” is shown on the blade along with the date 1983. This bayonet comes with an original scabbard that unfortunately has the end missing.

*Condition*

The bayonet is in good condition for its age and usage. The blade is darkened and pitted. The hilt is strong and undamaged and all markings are clear. The scabbard is missing the tip but remains strong.
