Original WW1 rifle bayonet, leather scabbard and frog made by Erfurt. The blade is dated to 1915 and stamped with makers mark. The blade is 1.25 inches wide at the widest point and 14.5 inches long. According to previous owner, this was taken from a German Soldier who in the First World War. This belonged to George Taylor and was subsequently passed down the family until sold. *Condition*
The blade is in great condition with only small areas of light pitting. The hand grip is well preserved considering its working life. The leather scabbard and frog does show some signs of worn and aging but holds the bayonet securely in. Overall, this item is in good condition.
