    Description

~ Pair Of Circa 1780 Rylands And Darby Flintlock Pistols With Original Bone Tipped Ramrods ~

The un-sighted, proofed steel barrels have engraving on the rear portion. The steel lock plate have scroll work and are engraved with the gunsmiths names. They are fully stocked in walnut with a brass pommel and engraved cartouche. The wooden ramrods are tipped with bone and are housed by two brass sleeves. Both the side plates and trigger guards are engraved.

    ~ Condition ~

Both half cock and cock with decent springs. The stocks are complete with minor bruising, a couple of short cracks to the one of them (by the barrel end on the left hand side). The steel work is bright with minimal pitting. An excellent pair in fine order.

    ~ Dimensions ~

The pistols are 41 cm (16 inches) in length with a 24 cm (9.5 inches) barrel.
