~ Pair Of William Moorcroft Bulbous Pomegranate Vases Circa 1920’s ~
A really gorgeous pair of vases, beautifully decorated in the Pomegranate pattern, designed and produced by William Moorcroft from the circa 1920’s.
The vases are of bulbous form with tube lined images of fruit and berries in dark shades of greens, reds and blues on a dark green and blue ground.
The bases have the hand written William Moorcroft full signature in green, along with imprinted marks of ‘Moorcroft, Burslem, England’ and the number ‘144’.
~ Dimensions ~
Each vase has a diameter of 7 inches (18cm) and a height of 6 inches (15cm). Together they weigh 2.340 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The vases are in really nice condition with very little wear. One vase has a chip to the edge of the base and has been repaired. The other has a little wear to the glaze at the base. There is general crazing.
