~ Regency Mahogany And Brass Inlaid Twin Fusee Bracket Clock Farr & Son Bristol ~
A superb original Regency dome top bracket clock. It has a traditional dome top with brass inlaid roundels under the face, brass fret panels to the fore and sides, brass bun feet and a top carrying handle. The convex dial has Roman numerals and is signed by the maker Farr & Son, Bristol. The 8 day twin fusee movement strikes the hours on a bell and has an engraved back-plate and the original matching engraved pendulum with a fine regulation adjustment screw. There is a locking screw for transportation as well as a winding and locking key. There is a pull string for sounding the hours in the dark.
The Farrs were a clock making family in Bristol comprising of John, Thomas and Stephen, listed as working from 1790 to 1830
~ Condition ~
The clock is clean tidy and in good working order. There veneer is complete but there are a few splits, one on top and one to the lower right side of the rear door. The the dial has been professionally restored preserving the original background

The clock stands at 46 cm (18 inches) tall (with the handle down) by 29.5 cm (11.75 inches) wide by 16.5 cm (6.5inches) deep. It weighs 8.56 Kg.
