This is a lovely original zig zag clock used to confound the uboat packs in the Atlantic during WW1 and 2.
This Clock is from WW2 being made in 1939/40, we know this as it has Octo as the maker on the movement being the name used by Mercer on their specialist electrical contact clocks that would be used to precisely change course at a specific time. This Clock has been refitted in a period bulkhead casing so it can be wall hung as it may have been housed in a box being a “Master” clock.
