~ 12 Inch Rare English Victorian Oak Cased Dial Wall Clock 8-Day c1860 ~
A lovely mid Victorian oak 12 inch wall clock dating to circa 1860.
The clock has a white painted dial with Roman numeral hours, an outer minutes ring and two black painted steel hands.
It is set within a circular oak surround with a hinged glazed door to the front.
The case has the traditional salt box to the reverse to house the movement. The salt box is held in place with four wood pegs and has two doors, one to the side and one below, to access the movement.
The clock has an English square plate single chain wire fusee 8-day movement.
It is complete with a key.

The clock has a diameter of 38cm (15 inches) and a depth of 15cm (6 inches).
It weighs 5.62Kg.
~ Condition ~
The dial is in good condition with some age marks, there are some chips and surface marks to the dial. The glass has some scratches to it.
The oak surround has a few small knocks but again is otherwise in a very good condition with no major damages.
The salt box is in good order but one of the pegs is a little loose and the other is a little tight.
The clock has been service and is in good working order.
