WW1 4 Inch Mk IV Gun Brass Shell Case

A First World War era British 4 inch, Mk IV gun, brass shell case.

The shell has various stamps to the base including ‘VSM’ for ‘Vickers, Son and Maxim’.

~ Dimensions ~

The shell has a base diameter of 13.5cm (5 ¼ inches) and a height of 49cm (19 ¼ inches).

It weighs 9.26 Kg.

~ Condition ~

There are some marks to the outside but overall the shell is in very good condition commensurate with age.
