WW2 German Fuerwer Dress Dagger by Solingen

This is a nice example of a German Dress Dagger made by Solingen, with a brass handle, crosspiece and black diamond grip.

The ricasso bears the Maker`s mark Dirlam & Sohne, Solingen-Manganberg

~ Dimensions ~

The blade is 25 cm (9 ¾ inches) long. The dagger in its scabbard has a length of 39.5 cm (15 ½ inches).

The item weighs 520 grams.

~ Condition ~

The scabbard has developed surface rust but the piece presents well.

The blade has some scratches and there is some pitting but there are no visible dents or chips.

The brass crosspiece has developed some patina but the diamond-shaped grip is in good condition.
