~ A Pair Of Original WWI German Cavalry Boots ~
The cavalry boots are made from black leather. The boots have a distinctive front rise as see on Cavalry boots of the WWI period, with a classic one-piece front with two side seams and leather pull tabs. The heels all secured by wooden pegs. Only cavalry units used different boots, worn by Uhlans, Cuirassiers, Hussars, and Dragoons in the field during wartime.
~ Dimensions ~
The boots have a total height of 17 inches (43.25cm). The front rise has a total length of 9 inches (22.75cm) and a total width of 4 inches (10.25cm).
The soles have a length of 11.5 inches (29.25cm) and have a maximum width of 4.5 inches (11cm).
Total weight is 2.91kg.
~ Condition ~
The boots are very worn with age, both with very worn heels. The leather has cracked and warped, indicating an extensive use. Both shoes have one peg missing on the heels, and both boots are fairly stained with mud and other stains, with the black being fairly discoloured.
