The tube lined lamp base has a graduated green and blue ground with a plethora of orchid flowers in all hues.

The base is stamped ‘Moorcroft’, ‘Made In England’ and bears Walter Moorcroft’s signature in blue.  This dates the pieces from 1947 to 1953.

The lamp base is 33 cm (13 inches) tall.
