~ Early 19thC Pearlware Staffordshire Figural Group ~
A nice early 19th century pearlware Staffordshire pottery figural group.
The group consists of a young man playing a whistle while a young lady sits beside holding a music sheet.
They are painted in colours, depicted on a grassy mound with a running stream and set on a square base.
~ Dimensions ~
The figure measures 9cm (3 ½ inches) across the base and has a height of 18.5cm (7 ¼ inches).
It weighs 600g.
~ Condition ~
The lower half of the whistle has broken off but the break is hidden by the man’s hand so cannot be seen.
The piece has a few marks to the paint but is free from cracks or chips.
