Description

This is a spring steel baton, formerly owned by the SiPo (Sicherheitspolizei/Security Police). The weapon is a telescopic steel spring complete with original leather strap.

SiPo was a term used in Germany for security police. In the Nazi era, it referred to the state political and criminal investigation security agencies. It was made up by the combined forces of the Gestapo (secret state police) and the Kriminalpolizei (criminal police; Kripo) between 1936 and 1939 under the rule of Heinrich Himmler.

*Condition*

The baton is in very good condition with an age related patina and a slight bend at the tip. The strap is strong and intact. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
