German Deep Sea Diver’s Knife by J. A. Henckels remains in beautiful condition. The entire hilt made of alloy and scabbard is made of solid brass having a rich matching patina. The butt plate is threaded for tightly screwing it into the scabbard thereby making the knife waterproof. The obverse ricasso is etched with the J. A. Henckels trademark comprised of twins posing in an Egyptian-like manner (though the logo is not fully clear). Beneath is the company name and directly below is the company location “J.A. Henckels / Solingen”.
*Condition*
The Diver’s Knife remains in outstanding condition. It almost seems unbelievable that this item originates from the Second World War. The brass elements seem almost new and the blade is undamaged. Please refer as it is part of the condition report.
