Description

*Falklands Period, British Military Issued, Type D Survival Knife. Dated 1983*

A nice British Military issue Type ‘D’ survival knife dated 1983, Falklands War period. Heavy, seven inch single edged blade, full tang with hardwood grips secured with three large copper rivets. The blade is engraved with the stores reference 127/8214 JR 1983 (likely for Joseph Rodgers of Sheffield) and the broad arrow mark. It is complete with it’s original leather sheath, which is the less common type with the ‘Lift the Dot’ retaining strap, the condition is excellent.

*Condition*
The Survival Knife is in good condition with signs of service wear. The blade is discoloured but has a very keen edge. The Leather sheath is in good condition with age related wear and tear. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
