The 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger was adopted for wear by officers and certain high-ranking NCO’s in 1937.
The dagger has an aluminium top pommel featuring swastika on both sides, and a matching cross guard which depicted an eagle in flight clutching a swastika in his talons.
This is a nice example of a Second World War Air force parade dagger with its scabbard and silver bullion knot.
The blade of the piece is marked with the manufacturers mark ‘Puma’ Solingen.
The grip is made of dark brown painted celluloid.
*Condition*
The blade remains in good condition, free of rust.
The manufacturers mark is clearly visible.
The scabbard lost some of its shine but remains undamaged otherwise.
